Virtual Event | Freedom to Be: The role of Indigenous spiritualities in averting climate catastrophe

This virtual panel will explore how this Indigenous spiritualities intersect with the climate crisis. Panelists will explore at how global Indigenous communities are affected by the same extractionist industries and land removal policies that drive climate change. They will investigate how Indigenous spiritualities' intrinsic connection to the environment and Earth can support an ecologically focused future. The panel will address the recommendations offered by the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief’s 2022 report in the context of planetary health.
