The United Confederation of Taino People proud to partner with the Puerto Rican Organization for the Performing Arts - PROPA to launch the 2024 multi-city Areito series in Orlando today, April 6, 2024.
The event in Orlando today will include a presentation of the UCTP Publication, Gu'ahia Taíno We Speak Taíno: A Classic Taíno Dictionary and Grammar Guide with the book's author Kasike R. Múkaro Agueibaná Borrero; a discussion with genealogist Melanie Maldonado Díaz on her research journey and how people can begin looking for their Taíno ancestors; and a community ceremony to honor the New Moon with Behike Miguel Sague. The Arieto program will begin at 1PM - 5PM at Bear Creek Recreational Complex, 1600 Bear Crossing Drive, Orlando, Florida.
