INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ KNOWLEDGE, SCIENCE AND PRACTICES FOR PROTECTING, CONSERVING AND SUSTAINABLY MANAGING WATER

This event will provide opportunities for participants to hear first-hand about the experiences and challenges faced by Indigenous Peoples from all regions of the world and the impacts of the climate crisis on their rights to water, food, and cultural practices. It will also feature presentations by Indigenous knowledge holders and practitioners from seven regions focusing on sustainable adaptation and mitigation practices being carried out in their homelands.

The side event will be presented virtually to encourage participation by delegates attending the UN World Water Forum and those following the conference on line.
