Indigenous Peoples Day NYC

Mark your calendars and don’t miss the 8th Annual Gathering on Randall’s Island Oct 9th-Oct 10th celebrating Indigenous Peoples from around the world and elevating the call for the Mayor and City Council to recognize Indigenous Peoples Day in NYC.  

Indigenous leaders, Elders, Medicine people, cultural performers and supporters from across North America or Turtle Island, as many Native Americans and activists call it, joined by First Peoples from the Caribbean, Polynesian Islands, and South America will once again convene to share their traditions, through song, dance, art, and prayer, while inviting all to rethink Columbus Day.
