Presencia Taina. Before the bus left from New York City, on behalf of
the travelers, Elder, McKinnely Banks (Poospatuck) and R. Mucaro Borrero
(Taino) offered prayers for a safe journey.
The
four-1/2 hour bus trip included statements by community Elders, Activist,
and WBAI radio personality, Raven Silva. Various videos were also featured
informing the travelers about the case of Leonard Peltier, the forced
relocation of Navajo (Dine) people in the Big Mountain area of Arizona,
